The reason for this, although less expensive to use, brass plated parts can not be polished when the light needs to be restored, and painted parts are just that, painted. jkwallick.com is committed to the design and manufacturing of the highest quality brass lights. After each piece is polished to a high shine it is then coated with a lacquer for a lasting shine and easy maintenance. The brass lamp is then assembled by hand and only UL listed electrical parts are used assuring the finest finished product. We also offer highly polished and non-coated brass lamps, for those that prefer their brass to age naturally. We have just added a new finish to our line, "aged brass". This "aged finish" is applied by hand in our shop to assure a warm natural finish. We are a family owned and operated businesses, located in Lancaster County, one of the best known antique areas in Pennsylvania. With twenty years experience in restoring brass lighting fixtures we have now turned our expertise to designing new brass lights.
